The disposal of electronic waste or as it is commonly referred to as “e-waste” is a continuing concern around the world. Many of these items are now considered as “disposable” items and as such are regularly disposed of amongst landfill rubbish. Unfortunately the components and gases contained within many e-waste items are harmful to the environment if disposed incorrectly.
Fortunately all e-waste can be recycled ensuring the harmful gases are captured and the electronic components contained within the items are recovered and recycled. Additionally, most e-waste can be refurbished and resold giving them a new lease of life for many years to come.
Many Tiger Waste customers are willing to pay a little more if they know their e-waste will be recycled responsibly. In response to this Tiger Waste has partnered with a local recycling company to collect e-waste and deliver it to their recycling facility in Fyshwick. This collection process minimises the handling of the e-waste thereby allowing Tiger Waste to provide significant discounts to customers willing to recycle their e-waste.
How can I get my e-waste collected?
Simply register your e-waste with Tiger Waste by phone, email or completing our junk collection form. Tiger Waste will allocate a collection day to you at which time our staff will arrive at your home, office or shop, collect your waste and transport it to the recycler.
On the day of your scheduled collection we ask that you leave your e-waste outside your home or office ready for collection. If this is not possible please let us know at the time of booking so we can confirm a collection time with you.
If you need help to carry your e-waste it is not a problem. Simply let us know at the time of booking. Additionally fees will apply if we need to provide two people .
